Text messaging & consent
AutoBuySell.net sends SMS text messages to dealership users for four purposes: (1) one-time passcodes to register, sign in, and verify a new mobile number (email verification codes are sent by email); (2) a one-time dealer invitation requested by the recipient; (3) optional recurring account and inventory notifications; and (4) replies from our automated vehicle-listing assistant, which you can text with vehicle details and photos to create a listing.
How to opt in. On the dealership invitation account-setup form, affirmatively check the recurring-SMS consent box, which is unchecked by default: “Yes, I agree to receive recurring dealership account, inventory, and service text messages from AutoBuySell.net at this mobile number. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to unsubscribe. Consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase, account creation, or use of the service.” Sending any other inbound message authorizes only the replies needed for that conversation; it does not enroll you in recurring messages. A requested one-time passcode or dealer invitation likewise authorizes only that requested message. The separate authorization shown before requesting an SMS sign-in code is not recurring opt-in. SMS consent is optional.
